While Twitch already has rules against nudity, the update to the dress code policy explicitly prohibits streamers from “suggesting or implying that they are fully or partially nude.” This comes after recent adjustments to Twitch‘s sexual content policies, which initially allowed certain types of content that were previously prohibited but were quickly revoked due to community concerns.

The new policy requires streamers to fully cover the area from the hips to the lower pelvis and buttocks. Additionally, for streamers identifying as women, it is requested to cover nipples and avoid exposing the lower part of the bust.

Angela Hession, Twitch‘s Director of Customer Trust, also announced plans to allow blurred thumbnails on streams marked as sexual themes and to offer users the option to filter content based on applied labels. These changes aim to curb creative interpretations that go beyond the boundaries of the previous policy, maintaining a more regulated environment on the platform.
